Over AeroNet
Geschreven door het projectWhat is AeroNet?AeroNet is a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) designed to build the world’s largest peer-to-peer air quality and microclimate monitoring grid. Instead of relying on scarce and expensive government weather stations, AeroNet empowers everyday citizens to host miniature, low-power IoT climate sensors outside their homes. How it works:Host & Earn: Users purchase a plug-and-play miniature smart device (AeroPod) and connect it to their local Wi-Fi.Data Harvesting: The device continuously measures local air quality (PM2.5, $CO_2$, humidity, and temperature).Token Rewards: In exchange for providing hyper-local, tamper-proof environmental data to the network, hosts are automatically rewarded with $AERO tokens. The Utility ($AERO Use Cases):Data Marketplace: Tech companies, smart-city planners, research institutes, and weather apps must buy and burn $AERO tokens to access the live API data.Hardware Discounts: $AERO can be used to buy next-generation sensors or upgrades.Governance: Token holders vote on network expansion zones and eco-funding initiatives.
