What the scanner checks

Honeypot
A honeypot lets you buy but blocks or taxes every sell. The scanner simulates the rules of the contract to see if a sell would go through.
Buy / sell tax
Buy and sell taxes are taken on every trade. Up to 5% is common; above 15% most of your money goes to the contract.
Mint function
A mint function lets the owner create new tokens at any time, which dilutes every holder.
Ownership
While the owner keeps control, they may change fees or limits. Renounced ownership removes that power, a hidden owner or a reclaim function brings it back.
Upgradeable proxy
A proxy contract can be swapped for new code after launch. Common for large projects, a risk on small ones.
Liquidity locked or burned
Share of the DEX liquidity that is locked or burned. Unlocked liquidity can be pulled out at once: the classic rug pull.
Top 10 holders
Share of the supply held by the ten largest wallets, without burned, locked and pool addresses. A high share means a few wallets can crash the price.
Solana
On Solana, the scanner checks the mint and freeze authorities, transfer fees and whether the token metadata can still be changed.

Questions

Is a token safe if the scan shows no red flag?

No. The scan reads the contract code and on-chain data. A clean contract can still belong to a team that dumps its own wallets, fakes volume or disappears. Use it as a first filter.

Where does the data come from?

From the GoPlus Security API, used by many wallets and DEX tools. Results are kept for about 12 hours, then refreshed on the next scan.

Why is my token not found?

The scanner only knows tokens that have a trading pool on a supported DEX. Very new tokens can take a few hours to appear.

Does it cost anything?

No. The scanner is free and needs no account or wallet connection. Never sign a transaction to "verify" a token.
