US Silver Reserve

The U.S. has significant in-ground silver reserves (around 23,000 metric tons), but its strategic government stockpile is essentially zero after past sales; however, recent classification of silver as a critical mineral (in 2025) signals potential re-stockpiling for national security and tech needs, with major private players like Hecla Mining Company (NYSE:HL) and Comex holding key supplies.
